Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager - Security Operations Center (SOC) to support the management of global surveillance, incident response, and crisis management operations. This role reports to the Head of SOC and will play a key part in ensuring the effective delivery of 24/7 monitoring services, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the SOC.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day SOC operations, ensuring effective surveillance, alarm monitoring, incident response, and service delivery across all assigned clients.
  • Monitor operational performance, proactively identify gaps, implement corrective actions, and provide regular updates to the Head of SOC.
  • Manage, mentor, and support Shift Leads and Analysts in a 24/7 operational environment to drive performance, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Lead incident investigations and ensure timely preparation and delivery of incident reports within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs), providing clear conclusions and updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with local authorities, law enforcement, emergency services, and other external stakeholders when required to facilitate rapid response and resolution.
  • Conduct periodic quality reviews, dip-stick audits, and training sessions to ensure analysts remain updated on standard operating procedures (SOPs), customer requirements, and operational best practices.
  • Spend a portion of operational time actively monitoring alarms and reviewing incidents to identify process gaps, quality concerns, and opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Work closely with the Head of SOC to develop, implement, and continuously enhance SOPs, Key Result Areas (KRAs), workflows, and operational best practices.
  • Support initiatives to scale SOC operations, improve efficiency, and strengthen service delivery as monitoring requirements evolve.
  • Ensure compliance with all security protocols, operational standards, customer commitments, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in any related field.
  • Overall experience: 8-12 years.
  • Proven experience in SOC management, security operations, command center operations, or a similar security leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of incident response, risk management, physical security operations, and surveillance technologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing teams within a 24/7 operational environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability in stakeholder management, handling performance-related discussions, and driving operational outcomes through effective collaboration and influence.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, strategic planning, and operational management skills.
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach, strong ownership mindset, and ability to work independently.
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to changing operational and customer requirements.
  • Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions in high-pressure situations and during critical incidents.
  • Flexible to work across US-centric schedules and staggered weekly offs as required by business needs.
  • Experience working with government agencies, law enforcement, emergency responders, or regulatory bodies will be an added advantage.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with advanced surveillance technologies.
  • Familiarity with various incident management tools and software.

Experience

  • 8-12 years of relevant experience in security operations, including direct management within a Security Operations Center.
