Job Summary

The Manager – Finance (AR/AP & Financial Control) plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, discipline, and flow of money across the business. This position will oversee that every rupee is tracked, collected, paid, and reported correctly. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring cash comes in on time (Accounts Receivable) and goes out correctly (Accounts Payable), maintaining clean books, and delivering reliable financial visibility to management.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Receivable (AR):

  • Own invoicing, collections, and receivables reconciliations.
  • Track ageing buckets and overdue accounts.
  • Coordinate with marketplaces, retail stores/POS partner, and payment gateway partners.
  • Ensure zero ambiguity on receivables and maintain tight collection cycles.

• Weekly Reconciliation:

  • Reconcile receivables with multiple marketplace reports, including invoices, marketplace charges, returns, and claims for damaged goods/lost goods from marketplaces.

• Receivables & Cash Inflow Forecasting:

  • Build rolling monthly forecasts of cash inflow, factoring in sales, returns, and claims.
  • Provide actual versus forecast analysis.

Qualifications

• Education:
  • CA Inter, B.Com, or M.Com with strong experience in finance.
• Experience:
  • 4-7 years of relevant experience, particularly in Accounts Receivable within an online/e-commerce setup.
• Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in Excel.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ownership mindset.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with financial software and tools related to AR/AP management.
• Familiarity with managing cash flow forecasts in a multi-channel retail environment.

Experience

• A minimum of 4-7 years of relevant experience, preferably in a high-volume e-commerce setting focused on Accounts Receivable.

Environment

• Office setting located in Kolkata, reporting directly to the Director / Finance Lead.
