Job Summary

We are looking for a highly analytical, proactive, and detail-oriented Finance Business Partner to work closely with the General Manager and leadership team. This role is designed for someone who can bridge finance and business operations by driving financial governance, operational excellence, and cross-functional execution. The ideal candidate will go beyond traditional finance responsibilities by partnering with business stakeholders, monitoring key business priorities, ensuring financial discipline, and enabling informed decision-making through data, reporting, and structured follow-through.

Responsibilities

  • Finance Business Partnering

    • Partner with the General Manager and business leaders to support strategic and operational decision-making.
    • Monitor key business priorities and ensure financial implications are considered during planning and execution.
    • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities across business functions.
    • Support business reviews through financial insights, variance analysis, and performance reporting.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization.
  • Financial Operations & Reporting

    • Coordinate recurring finance and operational activities including budgeting cycles, audit schedules, statutory compliance timelines, and financial reporting.
    • Collaborate with Finance, Accounts, external auditors, tax consultants, and the Company Secretary to ensure timely completion of financial deliverables.
    • Prepare and maintain Monthly Management Information System (MIS) reports, financial dashboards, investor updates, and quarterly board reporting packs.
    • Maintain trackers for budgets, business performance, compliance activities, and strategic initiatives.
    • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial documentation and supporting records.
  • Business Operations & Project Coordination

    • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives involving Finance, Operations, HR, Sales, and Leadership teams.
    • Organize business review meetings, capture key decisions, and maintain action trackers.
    • Follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely closure of financial and operational action items.
    • Maintain centralized trackers for ongoing projects, business priorities, and strategic initiatives.
    • Support leadership in driving execution across multiple business functions.
  • Stakeholder Management

    • Partner effectively with cross-functional teams, external consultants, auditors, and business stakeholders.
    • Drive accountability by following up on agreed deliverables and financial timelines.
    • Handle confidential financial information, leadership discussions, budgeting, compensation data, and investor-related matters with the highest level of professionalism and discretion.

Qualifications

  • Experience

    • 2–4 years of experience as a Finance Business Partner, Financial Analyst, Business Finance Executive, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst, Commercial Finance Executive, or a similar finance/business partnering role.
    • Experience working in a high-growth startup, healthcare, consumer, retail, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), or VC-funded organization is preferred.
  • Educational Qualification

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • CA Inter, CMA, MBA (Finance), or equivalent qualifications will be an added advantage.
  • Technical Skills

    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, financial modeling, and advanced formulas).
    • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
    • Experience with MIS reporting, budgeting, dashboards, and financial analysis.
    • Familiarity with ERP/accounting software is an advantage.
