Responsibilities
General
Supporting the origination of investment opportunities, corporate finance and fund placement mandates.
Direct engagement and delivery of workstreams into Managing Directors, Partners and external clients
Market analyses and assessments of selected sectors and companies.
Significant contact with potential investee companies, portfolio companies and corporate and fund clients.
Supporting sector focussed marketing initiatives.
Planning and implementation of portfolio company projects e.g. bolt-on acquisitions, new market entry.
Building detailed financial models, incorporating operational and cash flow forecasts.
Performing valuation analyses, including comparable transactions and public companies, discounted cash flow
and leveraged buy-out models.
Identification of potential investors and buyers.
Supporting the execution of principal investments and third-party corporate finance and fund placement
mandates, including supporting on day-to-day project management.
Drafting of internal transaction review documentation and transaction marketing documentation.
Supporting specific EPE Special Opportunities Limited (listed private equity fund) and EPIC Acquisition Corp.
(SPAC) projects.
Supporting EPIC group projects including working alongside EPIC India’s leadership on the development of
EPIC India’s in market proposition and capabilities.
India Team
Providing oversight and acting as an in-market point of contact for the India transaction team of analysts.
Reporting into London Managing Directors and Transaction Team lead.
Coaching, mentoring and training the Indian transaction team members.
Acting as a role model of EPIC values, setting standards of high quality output and professionalism.
Supporting recruitment activities for the India transaction team including application screening and candidate interviews.
Candidate profile
Minimum 6 years prior experience in investment banking, corporate finance, private equity or investment management.
Strong professional qualifications; CFA level 3 preferrable.
Strong academic credentials from a top tier university.
Track record of personal responsibility, in particular working independently in a project based environment with
tight deadlines and of delivering to client expectations.
Proven ability to establish effective relationships and work well within a team (working directly with international
teams is desirable).
Proven team leadership skills and experience.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical capabilities, combining both quantitative and qualitative skills.
Proven experience in financial modelling and valuation analyses.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, in particular PowerPoint and Excel.
Practical knowledge of financial databases (Factset, Capital IQ, Pitchbook, Bloomberg or equivalent).
Data analytics experience (SQL, Python, PowerBI, Tableau) will support your application, but is not required.
