Job Summary
The Legal Manager will oversee and execute legal operations for Homeville Group. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the affordable home loan sector and robust non-litigation experience in mortgages. The successful candidate will ensure compliance and manage legal documentation associated with mortgage processes.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal assistance to the company.
- Conduct due diligence on properties to be mortgaged.
- Review and provide opinions on LSR (Land Surveyor Report) and TSR (Title Search Report).
- Conduct searches and prepare search reports related to properties.
- Perform legal due diligence on properties for creating mortgages (equitable or registered) across India, including preparation of mortgage documentation.
- Assist internal teams with legal queries and documentation, including stamp duty processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a reputed law college.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant legal experience, particularly in the mortgage sector.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English, Marathi, and Hindi; proficiency in additional regional languages is advantageous.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with real estate laws and regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with various stakeholders.
Experience
3 to 5 years of experience in legal roles, with a focus on the mortgage and housing finance sectors.
