Job Summary

The Category Manager will be responsible for driving growth, profitability, and customer experience for assigned travel categories/destinations. This role involves category strategy, vendor management, pricing, inventory optimization, revenue growth, customer insights, and cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end category Profit and Loss (P&L) and revenue growth.
• Develop category growth strategy and expansion plans.
• Identify new travel products, destinations, and experiences.
• Manage supplier/vendor relationships and commercial negotiations.
• Drive pricing, margins, and inventory optimization.
• Analyze customer demand, booking trends, and market competition.
• Coordinate with operations, marketing, sales, and technical teams.
• Improve category conversion, customer acquisition, and retention.
• Monitor business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including Gross Merchandise Value (GMV), bookings, margins, and repeat business.
• Execute promotional campaigns and seasonal offers.
• Ensure seamless customer experience and service quality.
• Conduct competitor benchmarking and market analysis.
• Optimize product listings, content, and visibility on the platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred.
• 3-8+ years of experience in:
  • Category management
  • Travel-tech
  • Revenue management
  • Business development
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
• Strong understanding of pricing and commercial planning.
• Experience in handling P&L/business growth metrics.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
