Job Summary
The role is focused on leveraging a deep expertise in machinery design and system engineering, specifically within the food, beverage, and packaging industries. The candidate will contribute to driving innovation and optimization in production processes, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in machinery operations.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop machinery systems for filling, packaging, and processing within the food and beverage sectors.
- Optimize production line integration and process flows to enhance efficiency.
- Engage in hands-on operations with CAD tools (such as Solid Edge) and simulation software (such as Matlab).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to bridge materials science with equipment engineering.
- Innovate FMCG packaging solutions through the application of polymer science and Plastics Engineering.
- Lead projects focused on digital technologies, including the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and predictive analytics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Polymer Science, Chemical/Plastics Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Process Engineering, or related fields.
- 12 to 17 years of relevant experience in machinery design or system engineering, particularly within the food, beverage, packaging, or similar machinery industries.
- Proven expertise in filling systems (aseptic, PET, glass), PET polymer behavior, rPET performance, and stretch blow molding processes.
- Solid understanding of beverage processing technologies and methodologies (mixing, carbonation, thermal processes, CIP/SIP).
- Experience in plastics processing and blow molding operations.
- Strong exposure to designing concepts with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Model-Based Cost Engineering (MBCE) frameworks.
- Patents, published papers, or white papers in relevant fields are considered advantageous.

- Strong creative and problem-solving mindset; comfortable working in ambiguous and experimental situations.
- Ability to bridge the gap between materials science and equipment engineering, translating complex concepts into practical applications.
- Experience engaging with external innovation ecosystems or leading open innovation projects.

- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in global and multicultural teams.
