Job Summary

The SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise standard databases based on business area requirements. This role is crucial for ensuring database performance, availability, and security, as well as for providing consultation on database technical issues to application development teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise standard databases based on business area requirements.
• Develop and execute database backup/recovery and security strategies.
• Install and support Database Management Systems (DBMS) software and tools.
• Monitor, tune, troubleshoot, and consult on various database activities.
• Create physical database structures based on physical design for development, test, and production environments.
• Collaborate with systems engineers to configure servers for DBMS product installation and database creation.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve database problems effectively.
• Communicate required downtime with application development teams and systems engineers.

Qualifications

• Educational Qualifications: Graduate degree required.
• Essential Skills:
  • DBA skills.
  • Proficiency in SQL Server (2012, 2016, 2019).
• Experience: Mid-level with 5+ years of relevant experience in database administration.

• Knowledge of performance tuning and capacity planning strategies.

Experience
