Job Summary

The Cloud Architect and Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) position is responsible for designing and implementing secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud architectures primarily on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role involves evaluating cloud services based on project requirements, developing service-level objectives (SLOs), and ensuring high availability and performance of services.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud architectures on both GCP and AWS.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate cloud services based on project requirements.
  • Design multi-cloud or hybrid cloud solutions when necessary.
  • Develop SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs, and implement monitoring and alerting to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Implement automation for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployments.
  • Participate in capacity planning, performance tuning, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD.
  • Automate deployment and rollback strategies across environments.
  • Support development teams in integrating and deploying applications in cloud environments.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or DevOps roles.
  • Proven hands-on experience with GCP (e.g., GKE, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, BigQuery).
  • Good to have experience with AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, EKS, Lambda, RDS, CloudFormation).
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes (GKE, EKS) and containerization (Docker).
  • Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
  • Solid scripting skills in Python and Bash.
  • Experience with monitoring/logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch, or Stackdriver (Cloud Monitoring).

Preferred Skills

  • Additional experience in related cloud technologies or platforms would be a plus.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in cloud engineering or related fields.
