Job Summary

The Business Process Automation Analyst is responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions. This role focuses on leveraging automation technologies to enhance business processes across various teams such as Finance, Audit, Marketing, and Operations. The successful candidate will utilize their technological expertise to translate business challenges into effective automation solutions.

Responsibilities

• Translate business problems into automation solutions using technologies including UiPath, Smartsheets, and Airtable.
• Collaborate with IT and business users to document and map relevant business processes to Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions.
• Gather and define functional, usability, reliability, and performance requirements for software systems in partnership with users.
• Create Process Definition Documents (PDD), as-is and to-be process flows, and system integration diagrams.
• Work with the RPA Solution Architect to design the new process architecture, incorporating industry best practices.
• Design and build automation with clear input/output criteria, logic, and error handling.
• Conduct data and system analysis, creating system design documents and project scope plans.
• Develop test plans, test cases, and datasets for unit testing and System Integration Testing, and lead user acceptance testing (UAT).

Qualifications

• Education: BS/BA degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related business field.
• Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst (BSA)
  • 3+ years of experience with RPA projects
  • 2+ years of project management experience
• Skills:
  • Strong experience in designing RPA solutions using UiPath.
  • Experience with automation in Smartsheets and Airtable is a plus.
  • Software development skills are recommended but not required.
  • UIPath "Automation Business Analyst Associate" and "Automation Business Analyst Professional" certifications are required.
  • UIPath "Associate Automation Developer" or "Automation Developer Professional" certifications are recommended but not required.
  • Familiarity with APIs and automated testing tools is a plus.
  • Understanding of business processes in SAP Finance, Supply Chain Management (SCM), and Human Resources (HR) is desirable.
  • Knowledge of enterprise software tools such as UltiPro, Coupa, and Salesforce is a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and complete tasks on schedule.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with substantial experience in stakeholder meetings and presentations.
• Previous experience in incident resolution and technical oversight.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant role, specifically as a BSA focusing on RPA projects.
