Service Sales Engineer – Robotics

Job Summary

We are hiring a Service Sales Engineer / Specialist to drive service business growth by identifying customer needs, proposing tailored service solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction while achieving business goals. This role bridges technical service delivery and commercial sales, offering the opportunity to work across geographies and engage with cutting-edge robotic technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell service offerings such as spare parts, upgrades, retrofits, preventive maintenance, digital services, and health check programs.
  • Understand customer needs and propose suitable technical and commercial solutions.
  • Prepare and present proposals; follow up on leads from internal and external sources.
  • Manage existing client relationships and explore new business opportunities.
  • Work closely with service and technical teams to ensure smooth execution of contracts.
  • Track sales activities, revenue, and collections while meeting defined KPIs (Order Booking, Revenue, Collection, GM%).
  • Keep updated with company processes, risk reviews, and EHS policies.
  • Regularly report sales activities and maintain data in SFDC/SAP.

Qualifications

  • Educational Qualification: BE/B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Experience: 2-3 years total, with at least 1 year in robotics service sales and robot operation & maintenance.
  • Hands-on knowledge of PLC systems, field buses, and robotic peripherals preferred.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, and hydraulics systems.
  • Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage extensive travel (80%+).
  • Familiarity with SAP and SFDC is an advantage.

  • Ability to manage high-pressure situations calmly and professionally.
  • Analytical mindset and proactive attitude toward customer support.
  • Willingness to relocate if required.

Experience

  • 2-3 years of total experience, with a focus on robotics service sales and robot operation & maintenance (minimum 1 year required).
