QA Engineer - Eggplant

Job Summary

The QA Engineer - Eggplant plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of software applications. This position involves developing automated tests using Eggplant tools to guarantee that the product meets the highest standards before release. The QA Engineer will contribute to the overall success of the organization by ensuring that products are delivered on time and function smoothly for users.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute automated test scripts using Eggplant to validate software functionality.
• Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and provide feedback on testability.
• Analyze test results and report issues to the development team, ensuring timely resolutions.
• Maintain and enhance existing test frameworks and tools to improve efficiency.
• Participate in code reviews and provide quality assurance insight to both development and product teams.
• Document all testing processes and results for project reporting and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in testing methodologies and tools, especially Eggplant.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with other automation tools and frameworks.
• Experience in performance testing and load testing.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
• Relevant certifications in software quality assurance or testing.

Experience

• A minimum of -5 to 10 years of experience in quality assurance or software testing, with a focus on automated testing.
