Senior Azure Developer

Job Summary

This role is designed for a skilled professional who will replicate and test websites across various Azure subscriptions (Dev, Stage, Prod) and perform a seamless migration from a vendor’s Azure subscription. The successful candidate will document the environment setup and configurations, establish cutover and rollback plans, and provide knowledge transfer to the Gen platform and monitoring teams, aligning with broader organizational DevOps and cloud deployment strategies.

Responsibilities

• Replicate and test the site in Azure subscriptions including development, staging, and production environments.
• Develop comprehensive documentation on environment setup, configurations, and migration processes.
• Create and execute cutover plans and rollback procedures to ensure minimal downtime during transitions.
• Design, build, and deploy Azure App Services to host scalable and secure web applications.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for consistent, repeatable deployments.
• Migrate existing Umbraco CMS-based web applications between Azure subscriptions with minimal disruption.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure efficient integration and deployment of resources.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Azure resources to enhance performance and cost-efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Azure App Services and related Azure resources (e.g., App Insights, Key Vault, Azure SQL).
• Proficiency in Terraform for Azure infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Demonstrated experience in migrating web applications across Azure subscriptions, managing dependencies and configurations.
• Familiarity with Umbraco CMS architecture and deployment practices.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in Azure development and cloud solutions.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with additional cloud platforms or multi-cloud environments.
• Expertise in advanced monitoring tools and cost-optimization strategies.
• Additional certifications in Azure or DevOps.

Experience

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in Azure development, cloud migration, infrastructure management, and DevOps practices.
