AI Engineer

Job Summary

The role serves as a critical link between a customer's real-world workflow and a voice-AI system, ensuring flawless execution. Candidates will analyze complex customer processes, understand edge cases during interactions, and optimize workflows to enhance overall performance and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Understand customers in depth by mapping their workflows, including every agent and each agent's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Identify failures in the system by analyzing real calls and detecting elements that may have been overlooked by dashboards.
• Transform identified issues into evaluation criteria, ensuring revisions to SOPs and prompt improvements.
• Design adversarial simulations to preemptively identify failures in a controlled environment, ensuring customers experience no issues.
• Scale simulations from individual calls to complete customer journeys, encompassing task automations and entire workflows.
• Extend the platform to incorporate necessary features and integrations, maintaining synchronization with the client’s systems of record.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in working on complex parallel systems (e.g., robotics, distributed systems).
• Demonstrated capacity for original thinking and decision-making in challenging projects, whether through research publications or meaningful open-source contributions.
• Previous experience in developing products that have successfully achieved a real market traction (revenue, users, downloads).
• Strong analytical skills, with an ability to work through complex problems and make decisions quickly.
• Familiarity with conversation quality evaluations, voice quality evaluations, and simulation-driven testing.
• Ability to learn rapidly and adapt to new technologies, specifically in voice-AI systems.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with voice technologies including Speech-to-Text (STT), Text-to-Speech (TTS), and Large Language Models (LLM).
• Understanding of APIs and modular system design.
• Proficiency in software development practices that focus on simulation and iterative testing.
