Job Summary

The Business Head will play a crucial role in managing operational maturity and driving commercial success within Kerala Ayurveda Clinics. This leadership position entails full responsibility for revenue generation, profitability, customer experience, and team productivity, all under the esteemed brand's therapeutic credibility.

Responsibilities

• Revenue & P&L Ownership

  • Own the clinic's monthly and annual revenue targets; manage the P&L with full accountability for EBITDA.
  • Drive revenue across all service lines: consultations, therapy packages, wellness programs, and retail.
  • Identify and close gaps between current performance and targets through structured review cadences.
  • Negotiate and manage vendor and partner relationships to optimize costs without compromising quality.

• Sales Funnel & Patient Acquisition

  • Own the end-to-end sales funnel from lead generation through consultation to package conversion.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure channel performance (digital, referral, corporate, walk-in) feeds qualified appointments.
  • Monitor conversion rates at each funnel stage; build interventions where drop-off is significant.
  • Develop and manage corporate wellness tie-ups, referral networks, and institutional partnerships.

• Customer Experience & Retention

  • Set and enforce the patient experience standard across all touchpoints — first contact, consultation, therapy, and follow-up.
  • Drive Net Promoter Score (NPS), repeat visit rate, and patient lifetime value as core operating metrics.
  • Build structured post-visit engagement protocols to improve retention and generate referrals.
  • Oversee complaint resolution; treat every service failure as a system improvement opportunity.

• Team Leadership

  • Lead the clinic team — doctors, therapists, front desk, and support staff — with clarity of direction and accountability.
  • Identify capability gaps; drive structured onboarding, coaching, and performance management.
  • Build a culture of ownership and service excellence that reflects the brand's values.

Qualifications

• Experience & Background:

  • 15+ years of experience, with at least 5 years in a P&L or Business Head role within a clinic chain or a healthcare services organization with a footprint of at least 20 locations.
  • Demonstrated track record of growing revenues and improving operational efficiency in a multi-location healthcare setting.
  • Prior experience managing a team of 15+ people across clinical and non-clinical functions.
  • Exposure to wellness, Ayurveda, or integrative health is advantageous.

• Commercial & Operational Competence:

  • Strong financial acumen: ability to read a P&L, build a budget, and identify cost and revenue levers.
  • Hands-on familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, appointment management, and operational dashboards.
  • Structured approach to sales funnel management — proven proficiency with conversion metrics and pipeline hygiene.
  • Understanding of healthcare operations: capacity planning, compliance, and clinical workflow management.

• Leadership & Character:

  • A natural operator who leads from the floor and earns respect through presence, not just authority.
  • Comfortable with both P&L spreadsheets and post-therapy patient conversations.
  • High standards for quality; discomfort with mediocrity in patient experience or team performance.
  • Calm under pressure; able to make clear decisions with incomplete information.
  • Genuine affinity for the Ayurveda tradition and the values it represents.

Preferred Skills

• In-depth knowledge of Ayurveda and its practices.
• Experience in establishing successful wellness programs.
• Familiarity with digital marketing and patient engagement strategies.

Experience

• Minimum of 15 years in relevant roles, with significant exposure in healthcare management and operational leadership.

Environment

• The role is primarily based in Bangalore, working in a full-time, hands-on leadership position within a clinical environment. The setting may involve collaborating across multiple locations and conducting engagements with various stakeholders.
