Job Description

Responsibilities and Tasks

Build a rolodex of potential customers for Banyan’s commodity grades in both HDPE and PP across the country and across various applications.
Sell 100 – 150 tons of commodity polymer every month at opportunistic prices based on sound understanding of the general market, and local application context.
Track price movements in the market and react to opportunities that short term price movements present.
Work with the procurement, production, warehouse, logistics and quality teams to complete the sales lifecycle – from communication customer demand to fulfilling orders in a timely way.

 

Skills Needed

Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and highly accountable individual with a “hustler” mentality.
Stellar networking and sales skills
Understanding of product costing and basic P&L
Deep understanding of HDPE and PP polymers, compounds, and their applications
Experience selling over 100 tons of HDPE and PP on a monthly basis
Existing network of (and relationships with) potential customers
Demonstrated high level of integrity and commitment to profitable sales
