Job Summary

The Java RESTful API Developer will design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Java, primarily within the Spring Boot framework. This role is crucial for providing integrated solutions in collaboration with frontend developers, DevOps teams, Quality Assurance (QA), and product managers, contributing significantly to the organization’s overall goals.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Java (Spring Boot or similar frameworks).
• Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, QA, and product managers to deliver integrated solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
• Integrate with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and third-party APIs/services.
• Conduct code reviews, write unit/integration tests, and participate in Agile ceremonies such as standups and sprint planning.
• Ensure performance, security, and scalability of backend services.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
• Maintain and document technical architecture and system design.
• Leverage knowledge of Flexcube UBS concerning Bills, Letters of Credit (LC), and Loans module as an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Java development, particularly in backend API development.
• Proficiency in Java 8+ and frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security.
• Experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and coding best practices.
• Experience with database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar.
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Flexcube UBS modules (Bills, LC, Loans) will be a plus.

Experience

• 4+ years of relevant experience in Java backend API development.

Environment

• Work model: 5 days in-office, from day 1.
• Location: Mumbai.
