Role Overview

The Treasury Finance role at Agriwise Finserv Limited will be responsible for managing the end-to-end treasury function from a debt perspective, with a strong focus on fund raising, liquidity management, and working capital optimization for the NBFC and the larger StarAgri Group. The role will drive structured debt, non-fund-based limits, and fund-based working capital facilities, while also strengthening treasury operations, MIS, and lender relationships. This position plays a critical role in ensuring sustainable capital availability to support business growth.

 

Key Responsibilities

Debt Raising & Capital Management (Core Focus)

• Lead debt raising initiatives including term loans, working capital loans, structured debt, and refinancing opportunities.
• Evaluate and onboard lenders (banks, NBFCs, FIIs, AIFs, DFIs) with a clear debt POV aligned to business needs.
• Negotiate pricing, covenants, security structures, and documentation for all borrowing arrangements.
• Support long-term capital planning and optimize cost of funds for the NBFC.

Working Capital & Limits Management

• Structure and manage fund-based limits (CC/WCDL/OD) to support operating requirements.
• Manage and enhance non-fund-based limits including LC, BG, and trade finance instruments.
• Monitor utilization, renewals, enhancements, and covenant compliance across all limits.
• Drive improvements in working capital efficiency from a lender and operational perspective.

Treasury Operations & Cash Flow Management

• Oversee daily treasury operations including cash positioning, fund flows, and bank account management.
• Prepare short-term and medium-term cash flow forecasts to ensure liquidity adequacy.
• Ensure seamless coordination between treasury, operations, and business teams.

MIS, Reporting & Governance

• Develop robust treasury MIS covering borrowings, utilization, cost of funds, maturity profiles, and covenants.
• Prepare lender-specific reports, board notes, and management dashboards.
• Ensure strong documentation, audit readiness, and adherence to internal treasury SOPs.

NBFC Compliance & Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with finance, legal, and compliance teams to ensure adherence to RBI norms applicable to NBFCs.
• Act as the primary point of contact for lenders, bankers, rating agencies, and advisors.
• Support credit rating processes and periodic reviews.

Process Improvement & SOPs

• Streamline treasury processes and introduce best practices in controls, reporting, and automation.
• Establish and improve SOPs across treasury and debt management functions.

 

Qualifications & Experience

• Qualification: CA / MBA (Finance) / CFA preferred.
• Experience: 6–10 years of relevant experience in treasury, debt raising, or corporate finance.
• Industry Exposure: NBFC / Financial Services / Agri-finance / Structured Finance preferred.
• Skill Set: Strong understanding of debt instruments, working capital structures, RBI regulations, and lender negotiations.
