Job Summary
The Mainframe z/OS role is designed for an experienced professional with over 8 years of expertise in the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of z/OS and related products. This position is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of mainframe systems, contributing to the organization's overall efficiency and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Install, upgrade, and maintain z/OS and related CA/BMC products.
- Utilize SMPE for effective software management and maintenance.
- Perform installation and maintenance of various program products.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Assembler, Rexx, and CLIST.
- Conduct system initialization and tuning for optimal performance.
- Manage SYSPLEX environments and work with Hardware Configuration Definition (HCD) and Input/Output Definition Files (IODF).
- Implement disaster recovery strategies and understand storage concepts.
- Provide 24/7 on-call support to clients, ensuring high availability and reliability.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in mainframe environments.
- Strong knowledge of z/OS, OS/390, JES2, SMP/E, SDSF, TSO/ISPF, JCL, USS, SMF, RMF, and PARMLIB/PROCLIB customization.
- Familiarity with IBM utilities and specialty engines (processors) and their performance.
- Good understanding of ITIL processes and procedures.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and technical skills.
- Ability to perform diagnostics and root cause analysis (RCA).
- Team player with a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution.
- Knowledge of advanced storage concepts and management.
Experience
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in mainframe systems and z/OS environments.

- Hybrid work mode, combining both remote and in-office work settings.
Salary
- Estimated salary range: 3,500,000.
