Job Summary

The MEP Senior Manager (Mechanical) will oversee the design, execution, and management of mechanical engineering projects. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with local and international design standards, optimally integrating MEP systems into various projects. The individual will collaborate with multiple stakeholders to achieve energy efficiency and cost-effective design solutions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a complete understanding of local and international design standards, codes, and local authority requirements.
• Perform design calculations for water demand, elevator traffic, and equipment selection.
• Review and approve MEP designs and reports to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and consultants to seamlessly integrate MEP systems into the overall design.
• Conduct periodic site visits to review the quality of MEP installations and ensure design implementation.
• Optimize MEP designs for energy efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness while providing suggestions for improvements.

Qualifications

• Educational Background:
  • B.E. in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 14+ years of relevant experience
  • OR Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 17+ years of experience in design and execution.
• Sound knowledge of design calculations and MEP infrastructure design capabilities.
• Familiarity with electrical systems and a strong understanding of architectural and structural drawings.
• Demonstrated experience in team management and stakeholder communication.
• Proficiency in MEP design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of sustainability practices and Net Zero concepts.
• Experience in value engineering and construction cost management.
• Strong mentorship capabilities for team development.

Experience

• Minimum of 14+ years in mechanical engineering project design and execution, with considerable experience in residential and commercial projects, preferably with a grade A real estate developer.
