Job Summary

As an AEM Developer, you will translate client requirements into technical designs and develop customer engagement strategies for multi-site, multi-channel, and multi-lingual delivery environments. You will design and implement components for the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform, build solutions utilizing AEM assets, analytics, and social collaboration modules, and integrate cloud services with AEM to unlock business value from Adobe marketing tools.

Responsibilities

  • Translate client requirements into technical designs and implementation.
  • Design and implement customer engagement strategies for multi-site and multi-channel environments.
  • Develop components and applications on the AEM platform.
  • Integrate eCommerce solutions, portal solutions, and search engines with AEM.
  • Actively participate in client meetings and contribute throughout all phases of the development lifecycle.
  • Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code, while preparing and producing software component releases.
  • Support continuous improvement by exploring alternatives and new technologies.
  • Review and design solutions, and oversee the implementation and code across various teams.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience working with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
  • Proficiency in AEM, Java, and Apache Sling.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AEM components, templates, taxonomy, metadata management, workflows, content publishing/unpublishing, and tagging.
  • Experience with deployment using Maven and content migration/planning.
  • Comprehensive understanding of OSGi, Apache Sling, Apache Sightly, Apache Oak, and Adobe Dispatcher.
  • Expertise in AEM infrastructure, deployment strategies, debugging, and decision-making in AWS/AMS cloud infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with popular search engines (e.g., Solr, GSA, Lucene) and experience in performance tuning of search queries.
  • Knowledge of integrating with products such as Hybris, SSO, LDAP, and API Gateways using REST and SOAP frameworks (e.g., Apache CXF, Jersey).
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end content lifecycle, web content management, and content deployment processes.
  • Awareness of quality properties including accessibility, SEO, URL management, security, performance, and responsive architecture.

Preferred Skills

  • Good understanding of integration patterns and content-centric application development patterns using AEM Search, Commerce packages, or other platforms.

Experience

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in AEM development and related technologies.
