Job Summary

The Production Engineer will be responsible for managing and overseeing the fabrication and assembly of facade systems, ensuring all work is completed accurately and efficiently. This role requires a combination of engineering knowledge, manufacturing expertise, and a strong focus on quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Manage the fabrication and assembly of unitized, semi-unitized, and cladding facade systems.
• Interpret and read drawings including shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Optimize materials for cutting and production, ensuring effective resource allocation.
• Monitor and control fabrication processes, including aluminium and steel fabrication, welding, and assembly.
• Conduct quality control through adherence to health and safety standards and quality management systems.
• Plan and execute production schedules, targeting daily and weekly output goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in facade engineering or a similar role.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and documentation.
• Familiarity with fabrication processes and lean manufacturing principles.
• Strong understanding of health and safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
• Problem-solving abilities and a disciplined approach to work.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of CNC programming and machine operation.
• Experience with quality management systems.
• Ability to negotiate with clients regarding commercial and contractual terms.
• Familiarity with digital tools such as AutoCAD software.

Experience

At least 5 years of relevant experience in facade engineering, fabrication, and production planning.

Environment

Typical work setting includes a manufacturing factory with a focus on health and safety. The candidate must be able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
