Manager-Legal (Plotted)
Job Summary
The Manager-Legal (Plotted) will be responsible for managing and overseeing legal matters related to court cases and real estate transactions. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with legal standards and facilitating smooth operations within the organization. The Manager will collaborate with various departments and external advocates to handle litigations effectively, ensuring timely updates and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Handle and follow up on court cases as required, ensuring timely information and documents are gathered from other departments for court proceedings.
- Collaborate with external advocates to manage litigations pending before various courts, including RERA, Consumer Forums, Civil Court, High Court, and Supreme Court.
- Track and monitor all litigations, providing timely updates on day-to-day court proceedings.
- Draft legal notices, respond to legal notices, and review and vet drafts shared by external advocates, ensuring timely filing of documents with the concerned court.
- Conduct title due diligence, prepare preliminary title reports, evaluate land records, and highlight risks and mitigation strategies as needed.
- Draft agreements to sell, sale deeds, Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), lease deeds, and other contracts.
- Stay updated on existing laws and changes governing real estate development, capitalizing on emerging opportunities for the organization.
- Ensure effective management of legal documents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree.
- Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in the legal profession, specifically in court practice and the real estate sector.
- Experience in legal practice before various courts in Bengaluru.
- Excellent proficiency in the Kannada language.

- Proficiency in dealing with regulatory authorities.
- Strong verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience in people management.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Office and other reporting tools.
- Awareness of legal and regulatory aspects related to real estate and construction.
- Knowledge of property, contract, and commercial law.
- Exposure to working with RERA.
- Good decision-making skills.
Experience
- Minimum of 10-12 years in the legal profession with a focus on court practice and real estate.
