Lead - Vehicle Dynamics

Job Summary

The Lead - Vehicle Dynamics is responsible for defining and executing test strategies for various functional attributes such as Comfort, Handling, and Brakes within vehicle dynamics. This role involves system-level and vehicle-level testing, benchmarking, and developing robust design validation plans to ensure high-quality vehicle performance. The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance product capabilities and ensure timely delivery of test results, while maintaining high standards for test procedures and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Define test strategies for functional attributes including Comfort, Handling, and Brakes in vehicle dynamics.
• Conduct system-level and vehicle-level testing of vehicle dynamics attributes.
• Benchmark vehicle testing in terms of vehicle dynamics performance.
• Develop comprehensive design validation plans covering all test cases related to vehicle dynamics.
• Execute test cases efficiently with available resources and ensure timely delivery.
• Identify and report bugs and critical failures early in the design stages.
• Collaborate closely with Attributes and Product teams to develop testing capabilities.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to improve product quality.
• Represent the product validation team in cross-functional meetings and delegate tasks to respective testing teams.
• Create and maintain test standards and procedures tailored to testing requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of electric vehicles and their performance characteristics.
• Proven expertise in vehicle dynamics attributes including Handling, Comfort, Brakes, and Ergonomics.
• Proficient in objective data measurement and analysis related to vehicle dynamics.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
• Strong data visualization skills to present test results clearly.
• Educational qualifications typically include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with electric vehicle testing environments.
• Familiarity with advanced vehicle dynamics simulation tools.
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in vehicle testing.
• Ability to lead and mentor testing teams.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Experience

• Relevant experience in vehicle dynamics testing and validation.
• Demonstrated experience in handling vehicle dynamics attributes such as Handling, Comfort, and Brakes.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and managing cross-functional projects.

Salary

• Estimated salary: ₹3,000,000 INR per annum
