Job Summary

The AWS Security Services role focuses on designing, implementing, and managing security controls within the AWS cloud environment. The selected candidate will be responsible for protecting cloud infrastructure, applications, and data, ensuring compliance, and responding to security incidents. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong understanding of AWS security best practices and cloud-native tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security architectures and controls in the AWS environment, focusing on services such as IAM, VPC, KMS, and GuardDuty.
• Conduct regular security assessments on AWS workloads to identify vulnerabilities and improve security posture.
• Implement and manage security monitoring, alerting, and logging using AWS services including CloudTrail, CloudWatch, Config, and Security Hub.
• Analyze and respond to cloud security incidents and support incident response activities.
• Ensure compliance with frameworks such as CIS, ISO 27001, SOC-2, and PCI-DSS.

Qualifications

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Deep knowledge of AWS services including IAM, KMS, S3 security, VPC, Network Access Control Lists (NACL), Security Groups (SG), CloudTrail, Web Application Firewall (WAF), and AWS Config.
• Hands-on experience with cloud security tools such as AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, Application Load Balancer (ALB), and Macie.
• Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools, specifically Qradar, and proficient in log analysis.
• Understanding of Zero Trust Architecture, least privilege access, and secure design principles.
• Proficient with AWS WAF and ALB, as well as Palo Alto VM integration.
• Familiarity with Control Tower implementation, landing zones, security control policies, AWS organizations, and multi-account architectures.

Preferred Skills

• Additional certifications in AWS security (e.g., AWS Certified Security – Specialty) or related fields would be a plus.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in cloud security within AWS environments.
