Job Summary
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will oversee the overall operations of the organization, specifically focusing on Fund Accounting and Registrar and Transfer Agent (RTA) operations. This role is integral in ensuring operational excellence, translating organizational strategies into actionable plans, and fostering a culture of inclusivity and high performance. The COO will interact closely with the CEO and CIO to drive the company's vision and growth objectives.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the CEO and CIO in setting and driving organizational vision and operations strategy.
- Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning.
- Oversee company operations and employee productivity, ensuring a highly inclusive culture where team members can thrive and organizational goals are met.
- Analyze internal operations to identify areas for process enhancement and implement business strategies that align with both short- and long-term objectives.
- Coordinate with Heads of Operations and oversee the work of Fund Accountants, custodians, PCM, auditors, and other service providers.
- Finalize half-yearly and yearly financial reports for all schemes, including verifying NAV calculations.
- Manage capital investments and expenses aggressively to achieve investor targets for growth and profitability.
- Monitor performance with tracking software, preparing detailed updates and forecasts while taking corrective measures as necessary.
- Build and maintain trusting relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Review scheme-related details, including NAV calculations, Trial Balance, Trade details files, and other financial assessments.
- Coordinate with auditors and service providers to finalize reports and implement necessary changes and controls.
- Handle payments to vendors with necessary validations and support payout processing and query resolution.
- Coordinate with channel partners and exchanges for transaction processing and manage their queries.
- Ensure accurate reconciliation of STT, TDS, GST, and Stamp Duty data with RTA and handle escalations for timely resolutions.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in executive leadership roles.
- Excellent leadership skills with steadfast resolve and personal integrity.
- Understanding of advanced business planning and regulatory issues.
- Solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics.
- Ability to quickly diagnose problems and foresee potential issues.
- Strong analytical and automation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Fundraising experience.
- Knowledge of Fund Accounting and RTA Operations.
- Familiarity with PLMA Guidelines, investment restrictions as per SEBI Schedule 7th, and SID requirements.
Experience
- A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in executive leadership, particularly in financial services and operations.
