Sr. Data Analyst – Tableau & Databricks Visualization Expert

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst with a strong focus on data visualization and reporting using Tableau, and hands-on experience integrating with Databricks. This role is ideal for someone passionate about turning complex datasets into actionable insights, optimizing visualization performance, and contributing to a data-driven culture.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced Tableau dashboards to support business decisions.
• Integrate Tableau with Databricks, working with Delta Lake, Spark, and other data sources.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver visualization solutions.
• Optimize Tableau extracts and live connections for performance and scalability.
• Develop and enforce best practices for dashboard design, data governance, and deployment.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and security of data used in visualizations.
• Stay updated with the latest Tableau and Databricks features and introduce enhancements where beneficial.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in Tableau dashboard development.
• Integration Experience: 1+ years of hands-on experience integrating Tableau with Databricks (SQL, Delta Lake, Spark).
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL, and analytics workflows.
  • Proficiency in writing efficient and optimized SQL queries.
  • Experience with Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud for deployment and administration.
  • Ability to work with large, complex datasets and resolve performance issues.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Python, DBT, or other scripting/automation tools.
• Familiarity with other Business Intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Power BI) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Tableau certification (Desktop or Server) is a plus.
• Knowledge of data privacy and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis and visualization.
