Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Job Summary

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will play a key role in accelerating the organization's ability to deliver changes reliably and consistently to Amadeus Hospitality customers. This position involves developing standardized automation to control, build artifacts, and deploy managed services, as well as leveraging, improving, designing, and implementing services that automate application provisioning and manage the underlying infrastructure as a service.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement standardized automation for controlling, building artifacts, and deploying managed services.
• Act as a technical lead, anticipating technical risks and interdependencies while identifying potential improvements in existing code and processes.
• Solve complex production investigations and form a common continuous deployment pipeline for application development teams.
• Identify root causes, troubleshoot, and resolve issues quickly and effectively, often under pressure.
• Leverage and improve services that automate application provisioning and manage infrastructure as a service.

Qualifications

• At least 9 years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or in Software Engineering.
• Proficient in deployment and infrastructure configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Excellent knowledge in Linux operating system administration (RHEL) and Linux Containers deployment technologies (Docker).
• Knowledge of programming languages such as C++ or Java.
• Expertise in scripting languages, particularly Python.
• Exposure to cloud systems and related ecosystems (e.g., OpenStack, AWS API, Azure), with experience in Azure DevOps being a plus.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL technologies (e.g., CouchBase).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Familiarity with Jenkins and knowledge of Groovy scripting is a plus.
• Experience with any CI/CD tools, with ArgoCD being a plus.
• Strong computer networking skills, including the ability to troubleshoot issues related to Firewall, Load Balancing, and Routing.
• Basic knowledge of database administration.
