Job Summary

As a Founding React Native Engineer, you will take full ownership of Mave's mobile app development. You will be responsible for creating high-performance applications on both iOS and Android platforms and contributing to web-based tools such as admin dashboards. This role offers the unique opportunity to be a cornerstone of a pioneering team, shaping the future of health-tech solutions at Mave.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the Mave Health mobile app using React Native & Expo.
• Ensure smooth, high-performance experiences on both iOS & Android platforms.
• Collaborate with design & backend teams to build pixel-perfect UIs and seamless API integrations.
• Work with REST & WebSocket APIs to enable real-time data updates and interactions.
• Develop web-based dashboards and internal tools using React to support the platform.
• Stay informed on modern mobile development trends and best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in React Native with at least one published app on iOS & Android.
• Experience with Expo, including plugins & prebuild workflows.
• Deep understanding of React and JavaScript fundamentals.
• Strong UI/UX skills with the ability to translate Figma designs into polished, user-friendly interfaces.
• Proficiency in working with APIs (REST, WebSockets) and handling state management efficiently.
• Experience in debugging & optimizing performance for smooth mobile experiences.
• Startup mindset – comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Educational qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with push notifications on iOS & Android.
• Hands-on experience with native development (Swift/Kotlin) for performance-critical tasks.
• Experience with real-time features like chat or WebRTC-based video calls.
• Exposure to backend development (Node.js, Firebase, or similar).

Experience

3-5+ years of experience in mobile app development, particularly in React Native. Experience in a startup environment is highly valued.

Environment

The role is based in Mave's office located in HSR Layout, Bangalore. The work week is typically 5 days, with the possibility of extending to 6 days during critical project phases.

Salary

₹24,00,000 to ₹36,00,000 per annum.
