GC Test Developer

Job Summary

The GC Test Developer will play a crucial role in developing and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our software systems. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the developer will focus on testing Linux-based systems, ensuring robust cybersecurity measures are in place. This position is pivotal in maintaining the high standards of software performance and security that our organization upholds.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for Linux-based systems.
• Collaborate with software engineers to design and implement test strategies.
• Conduct thorough testing of software applications to ensure compliance with cybersecurity protocols.
• Utilize virtualization tools and environments to conduct comprehensive testing.
• Document and report test results, providing insights for continuous improvement.
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum development processes.

Qualifications

• Technical Expertise:

  • 8-10 years of experience in Python coding.
  • Strong understanding of software design and architecture.
  • Hands-on experience in automated testing, particularly for Linux-based systems.
  • Proficient in using Linux operating systems.
  • Deep understanding of device cybersecurity, including network connectivity, firewall configuration, and secure communication protocols.
  • Experience with virtualization tools and environments (e.g., virtual machines).
  • Familiarity with CloneZilla or similar system imaging tools.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and international teams.
