Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the quality of full-stack applications by defining and implementing comprehensive QA strategies. This role is integral to collaboration across various teams including product owners, architects, and developers to translate business requirements into actionable test plans, thereby contributing to the organization's goal of delivering high-quality software products.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement the overall QA strategy for full-stack applications, covering UI, API, database, and integration layers.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and developers to understand business requirements and translate them into test plans.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Playwright, and REST Assured.
• Oversee execution of automated and manual test cases across multiple environments.
• Monitor test results, track defects, and ensure timely resolution.
• Champion quality across the SDLC by integrating testing early in the development process (Shift Left).
• Promote test-driven development (TDD) and behavior-driven development (BDD) practices.
• Integrate test automation with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with DevOps and security teams to incorporate performance and security testing into the QA process.
• Use tools like JMeter and LoadRunner for non-functional testing.
• Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes, tools, and documentation.
• Implement feedback loops from production incidents to enhance test coverage and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance roles with automation testing experience, specifically with Salesforce applications.
• Strong experience in test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit).
• Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies, testing integrations, end-to-end system processes, and tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Awareness of performance testing and security testing.
• Familiarity with containerization and cloud technologies.
• Experience with behavior-driven development (BDD).
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging practices.

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance roles, specifically focused on automation testing, with a background in Salesforce applications.

Environment

• Flexible work shift accommodating partial work from the office in the morning hours and evening availability until 12 pm EST for all global team discussions.
