We are a Bangalore-based deep-tech space company building advanced space propulsion systems for satellites. With a focus on developing indigenous space technology, we are scaling our operations and strengthening our supply chain capabilities to support the next phase of growth.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Head – Supply Chain & Procurement who will own the development and execution of the supply chain function. The role involves building a robust procurement ecosystem, managing strategic sourcing, developing vendor partnerships, optimizing costs, and working closely with engineering, manufacturing, finance, and leadership teams.
This is a high-ownership role where the individual will have the opportunity to build processes, teams, and systems from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and lead the Supply Chain and Procurement function.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for critical components, raw materials, and assemblies.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers/vendors aligned with quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Drive strategic negotiations, cost optimization, and BOM cost reduction initiatives.
- Manage supplier relationships and ensure timely procurement of critical materials.
- Work closely with engineering and technical teams to understand product requirements and sourcing challenges.
- Establish procurement processes, compliance frameworks, and supply chain systems.
- Support supplier audits, quality processes, and risk mitigation initiatives.
- Build and manage a high-performing supply chain team.
Desired Experience & Skills
- 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Strategic Sourcing roles.
- Strong experience in procurement and supplier management within aerospace, defence, space-tech, deep-tech manufacturing, automotive, or other complex engineering industries.
- Proven experience managing strategic sourcing, vendor development, negotiations, and cost optimization.
- Experience working with engineering-driven products involving complex BOMs and critical components.
- Ability to build processes and functions from scratch in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience working with engineering, manufacturing, finance, and leadership teams.
