Head of Finance | Bangalore Hiring a Head of Finance for a fast-growing, venture-backed retail / lifestyle brand based out of Bangalore. This is a high-impact leadership role, working closely with the founders and leadership team to drive financial strategy and scale the business through its next phase of growth. The company has demonstrated strong traction, scaling rapidly from early-stage to a multi-store, multi-city presence, with significant revenue growth and clear visibility towards a potential IPO journey in the next 3–4 years. Role Overview As the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for leading the finance function end-to-end, partnering with business teams to enable strategic decision-making, and driving financial excellence across the organization. Key Responsibilities ● Lead the overall finance function including business finance, controllership, FP&A, and compliance ● Act as a strategic partner to founders, driving business insights, profitability, and growth planning ● Build robust financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting frameworks ● Drive unit economics, margin improvement, and cost optimization ● Oversee financial reporting, audits, and governance ● Support fundraising, investor relations, and IPO readiness over time ● Establish scalable finance processes to support rapid retail expansion (stores +omnichannel) Ideal Candidate Profile ● Qualified CA with ~12+ years of experience ● Strong background in business finance within retail / consumer / lifestyle sectors ● Prior exposure to high-growth environments and scaling organizations ● Strong understanding of retail metrics, store economics, and inventory-led businesses ● Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills (must-have) Why This Role ● Opportunity to work directly with founders in a high-growth retail startup ● Be part of a future IPO journey ● Build and shape the finance function from a strategic lens
