Responsibilities

• Create and develop complex e-commerce applications as a member of diverse, high-energy technical teams focused on full life-cycle development based on Agile/SAFe methodologies.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Technical staff members, Architects, and Project members to develop new functionality from business specifications.
• Engage in the entire lifecycle of software development, including analysis, development, fixing, and monitoring of issues.
• Utilize the latest tools and techniques, including Java/J2EE, XML, REST, Spring, Microservices, JUnit, Mockito, Git, etc.
• Perform hands-on coding and proactively mentor junior developers.
• Work in highly collaborative teams that strive to build quality code and provide business value.
• Continuously learn, mentor, and develop your career while focusing on clean, high-quality code and solid designs.
• Work effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment.
• Write and execute unit test cases for developed functionalities.
• Contribute extensively to the Code Review process and adhere to Coding Standards.
• Introduce new ideas to reduce manual repetitive work and automate systems where possible.
• Apply Test Driven Development within a continuous integration environment.

Qualifications

• Education: An Engineering Degree - B.E/B.Tech/MS in Computer Science preferred.
• Experience:
  • Professional programming experience with overall 6+ years of strong product development experience.
  • Proficiency with Java and the Spring Framework.
  • Practical experience with databases (SQL/SQL Server).
  • Cloud knowledge and hands-on experience with any public cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
  • Excellent object-oriented (OO) design skills.
  • Expertise in Data Structures and Algorithms.
  • Familiarity with Test Driven Development within a continuous integration environment.
  • Experience working in a SAFe/Agile environment will be a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in additional programming languages and frameworks.
• Experience in software architecture and design patterns.

Experience

• Minimum of 6 years of professional software development experience, particularly in product development.
