Senior Data Analyst
Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Financial Data Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and scalability of our finance and regulatory reporting solutions. You will leverage your proficiency in data visualization tools, SQL, Python, DBT, and Excel to maintain financial data accuracy, optimize reporting processes, and enhance reconciliation workflows.
Responsibilities

New Product Development & System Enhancements
- Collaborate with product and data engineering teams to gather necessary data inputs for new financial products.
- Update SQL queries and Python scripts to incorporate new data inputs and produce updated output integration files.
- Modify reconciliation processes to align with new product implementations.
- Maintain and update platform integration specification files, including accounting manuals.
- Generate test evidence for new features to validate data accuracy and integration.
- Assess whether new products require updates to existing regulatory reports or changes to General Ledger (GL) behavior.

Migration & Client Integration
- Support client teams during migrations and new product integrations by updating accounting manuals and providing example data.
- Create and maintain platform integration specifications, including accounting manuals and sample integration files.
- Ensure seamless data mapping and system compatibility for clients integrating new financial products.

Business-as-Usual (BAU) Operations
- Perform daily reconciliation tasks to ensure all overnight technical reconciliations pass.
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks through root cause analysis.
- Implement technical adjustments, including journal entries and data corrections in collaboration with Payment Operations.

Regulatory Reporting
- Maintain and own the business logic for Reg360 integration using the data platform.
- Ensure regulatory reporting requirements are met and updated as necessary.
Qualifications

Technical Skills:
- Strong data visualization skills using tools like Tableau or equivalent.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data processing and reconciliation.
- Experience with DBT for data transformation and modeling.
- Advanced Excel proficiency for financial data analysis and reporting.

Finance Domain Background:
- Basic client relationship management skills to support integration and migration efforts.
- Foundational understanding of financial systems and accounting principles.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for data accuracy and reconciliation issues.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including finance, product, and engineering.

Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
Preferred Skills
- Experience in stakeholder training, churn insights, and data validation.
- A Tableau public portfolio or dashboard samples would be a significant plus.
- Ability to hit the ground running, support end-to-end dashboard development, and work closely with business users.
Experience
- 6-10 years of experience in data analysis, finance, or related fields.
