Job Description
<div>Key Qualities & Requirements:<br />
1. Experience Level:<br />
o 10–12+ years of HR leadership experience.<br />
o Exposure to fast-paced, growth-oriented environments (e.g., startups, rapidly<br />
scaling businesses).<br />
2. Core HR Focus Areas:<br />
o Talent Acquisition: Building strong recruitment strategies to support rapid<br />
hiring needs.<br />
o HR Policies & Processes: Setting up clear frameworks for HR operations,<br />
policies, and employee handbooks.<br />
o Performance Management: Designing and implementing performance<br />
evaluation systems.<br />
o Employee Engagement: Driving initiatives that foster a positive, motivated,<br />
and high-performing culture.<br />
3. Strategic Partnership with Founders:<br />
o Acting as a trusted advisor to the founders on people strategy and<br />
organizational design.</div>
<div>o Advising on organizational structure, workforce planning, and culture-<br />
building initiatives.</div>
<div>4. Operational HR Responsibilities:<br />
o Handling day-to-day HR operations like leave management, payroll<br />
processing, statutory compliance, and HRMS management.</div>
<div>5. Industry Preference:<br />
o Background in financial services, private equity, or startups is preferred, for<br />
better understanding of VCAT’s business context and working style.</div>
<div>6. Location and Office Requirement:<br />
o Willing to be based in Mumbai (Andheri).<br />
7. Additional Responsibility - Chief of Staff Element:<br />
o Helping the founders on strategic initiatives, special projects, and broader<br />
problem-solving beyond just HR.<br />
o Acting as a "force multiplier" for the leadership team, especially in<br />
organizational growth initiatives.</div>
<div>8. Reporting Structure:<br />
o Initially reporting to Arisht (one of the founding members).<br />
o Long-term reporting directly to the Founder’s Office as the organization<br />
scales.</div>
<div>This role combines hands-on HR execution with strategic leadership responsibilities,<br />
meaning the ideal candidate needs to be both an operator and a strategic thinker.</div>
