Job Summary

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is responsible for leading the information technology (IT) strategy and governance for the organization. This role is crucial in aligning IT initiatives with business objectives to enhance operational efficiency and security.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IT strategies that support the overall goals of the organization.
• Establish and enforce IT governance frameworks and policies to ensure compliance and data security.
• Oversee data governance practices to maintain data integrity and accessibility.
• Lead cybersecurity initiatives to protect the organization’s information assets from threats.
• Collaborate with other departments to leverage technology for improved business processes.
• Manage IT budgets and allocate resources effectively to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 18 years of relevant experience in IT management.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in IT strategy development and execution.
  • Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks.
  • Extensive knowledge of data governance principles.
  • Expertise in cybersecurity measures and best practices.
• Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic thinking abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Certifications in relevant areas such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) would be advantageous.
• Experience in managing large-scale IT transformations.

Experience

• A minimum of 18 years of experience in information technology, with significant leadership roles.

Environment

• This position is full-time (6 day working) and based in Chennai, with an immediate start date.
