Job Summary
We are looking for a strategic and execution-focused VP/AVP – Online to lead the brand's online business across Direct-to-Consumer (D2C), marketplaces, and quick commerce platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, improving customer acquisition and retention, optimizing profitability, and managing cross-functional teams to scale the online business.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive the P&L for the online business across all digital channels.
- Develop and execute the online growth strategy for D2C, marketplaces, and quick commerce platforms.
- Manage key marketplace relationships, including Amazon, Flipkart, Nykaa, Myntra, Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart, and other relevant platforms.
- Drive sales growth through assortment planning, pricing strategy, promotions, visibility campaigns, and marketplace advertising.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to optimize customer acquisition, retention, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and performance marketing initiatives.
- Improve conversion rates, customer journey, and user experience across digital touchpoints.
- Analyze business performance using key metrics such as Gross Merchandise Value (GMV), revenue, Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Customer Lifetime Value (LTV), Average Order Value (AOV), conversion rate, repeat purchase, and profitability.
- Work closely with supply chain, finance, product, and operations teams to ensure inventory availability, order fulfillment, and customer satisfaction.
- Build annual operating plans, sales forecasts, and business growth strategies.
- Identify new online channels, partnerships, and growth opportunities.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing e-commerce team while fostering a performance-driven culture.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in e-commerce, online business, or digital commerce, preferably within D2C, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), beauty, personal care, or consumer brands.
- Proven experience managing large online revenue portfolios and marketplace businesses.
- Strong understanding of Amazon, Flipkart, Nykaa, quick commerce platforms, and D2C business models.
- Experience managing P&L, revenue growth, pricing, promotions, and digital marketing collaborations.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in business planning and data-driven decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale high-growth online businesses.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong bias for execution and ownership.
Preferred Skills
- MBA from a reputed institute is preferred.
- Experience in the men's grooming, personal care, beauty, FMCG, or consumer products industry will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 15+ years of experience in e-commerce or online business, with a strong preference for backgrounds in FMCG and personal care sectors.
