Job Summary

The Level 2 Security Consultant will play a critical role in the KGS Response Team by providing expert technical support and consultation for eDiscovery processes. This position is integral to ensuring compliance and best practices in handling Electronically Stored Information (ESI) and other litigation documents, contributing to the overall success of client engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and maintain Electronically Stored Information (ESI) and litigation documents to ensure best practices and compliance with client requirements.
  • Perform platform discovery and execute searches on identified data within eDiscovery platforms.
  • Advise clients on best practices and procedures for processing ESI, utilizing robust platforms like Nuix and Relativity.
  • Monitor eDiscovery processes, identifying potential issues and advising on solutions.
  • Provide technical assistance in using Nuix and Relativity platforms to meet client needs.
  • Consult on Relativity administration and assist legal teams in ESI review processes.
  • Analyze client requirements, offering insights and solutions using electronic discovery tools.
  • Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts to enhance ESI processing and delivery.
  • Identify and address gaps in processes related to ESI collection, processing, and delivery.
  • Serve as the lead technical liaison between case managers and legal teams, providing expertise on eDiscovery processes.
  • Ensure compliance of custodians’ ESI with defined eDiscovery processes.
  • Resolve readability issues of ESI for review platforms, predominantly Relativity.
  • Manage service delivery supporting client operations, ensuring effectiveness and timeliness.
  • Address escalated issues by collaborating with Client Services and other operational specialists.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (preferably in Computer Science or MCA) and/or B.E. / B. Tech from a reputed university.
  • 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in the eDiscovery domain.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of eDiscovery process flow, document review, and the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM).
  • Extensive experience with Nuix, Relativity, Relativity One, SQL databases, and other eDiscovery platforms/tools.
  • Knowledge in MS O365 eDiscovery, Encase, FTK, F-Response, Helix, live memory collection, and Paraben is a plus.
  • Preferred certifications: Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA), Relativity One, Relativity Review Specialist (RRS), and Nuix Certifications.
  • Skilled in handling various file types and understanding data properties (structure, file signatures, email threading).
  • Strong organizational ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work independently or collaboratively.
  • Excellent relationship management, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced business environment and quickly learn new tools and technologies.
  • Knowledge of the legal framework of eDiscovery, existing protocols, and relevant legal standards.
  • Detailed understanding of forensic procedures for data analysis and processing.

Preferred Skills

  • Additional knowledge or experience with emerging eDiscovery technologies and tools would be beneficial.

Experience

4 to 7 years of relevant experience in the eDiscovery domain is required.

Environment

  • The position is based in Bangalore and requires candidates to work from the office.
  • Candidates must be willing to participate in a 24x7 rotational shift.
