Workday Time & Absence Consultant

Job Summary

The Workday Time & Absence Consultant will play a pivotal role in managing and implementing Workday Time and Absence processes. This role emphasizes collaboration with clients and stakeholders to optimize Time Entry, Absence processes, and ensure adherence to best practices within the Workday environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support US Workday Time & Absence processes, including Time Entry, Absence Process, Overtime, Shift Differential, and Shift Premium.
• Oversee Time off Plans, Time Calculations, Time Codes, and Time Entry Templates, along with absence codes and work schedules calendars.
• Gather business requirements through discovery and design sessions to tailor solutions to business needs.
• Recommend best practices and leverage relevant industry experience in Workday Time and Absence processes.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Provide client support through effective communication and address any queries or requirements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of extensive experience in Workday modules, specifically in Time, Absence, Payroll, Core HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, and Talent.
• In-depth knowledge of US Workday Time and Absence processes, including practical implementations and support activities.
• Proven experience in gathering business requirements and facilitating design sessions.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Workday Time/Absence certifications is preferred.
• Flexibility to work across different Workday modules.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in environment implementations or AMS-type activities (projects, post-production support, etc.).
• Strong client interaction capabilities and communication skills.

Experience

• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in Workday modules, specifically within Time and Absence configuration and management.
