Job Summary
The Designer (Home Decor Products) internship is an exciting opportunity for a creative and innovative individual to contribute to the design and development of home decor items. The role focuses on leveraging research, creative thinking, and digital illustration skills to conceptualize and execute unique product designs that align with current trends and consumer preferences. This internship will play a key role in supporting the founders with fresh ideas and hands-on execution, helping the organization stay ahead in the competitive home decor market.
Responsibilities
- Conduct market and trend research to inform and inspire new home decor product designs.
- Develop creative concepts and design prototypes for home decor items, ensuring alignment with brand vision and consumer needs.
- Create detailed digital illustrations and mockups for proposed products using relevant design software.
- Collaborate with founders to refine concepts and finalize designs.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas for materials, textures, and forms.
- Assist in preparing presentations and documentation for design reviews and client meetings.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in research design and trend analysis.
- Demonstrated creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in creative design and digital illustration tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Procreate, Sketch, etc.).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail and a strong sense of aesthetics.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Educational qualification: Pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree/diploma in Design, Fine Arts, Interior Design, or a related field.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience or coursework in home decor or product design.
- Familiarity with sustainable and eco-friendly design approaches.
- Experience working with mood boards or design documentation.
