Manager – Modern Trade (MT Sales)

Job Summary
The Modern Trade Manager will manage and expand Just Organik's presence across organized retail chains. This role focuses on building strong relationships with modern-trade key accounts, negotiating annual business plans, and driving both sell-in and sell-out of the organic foods portfolio across large-format and supermarket chains.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow business across modern-trade retail chains such as More, Spencer's, Reliance Retail, and other regional and national supermarket chains.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with category buyers and key accounts.
- Negotiate joint business plans (JBPs), listings, margins, promotions, planograms, and shelf space.
- Drive sell-in and sell-out performance and achieve channel revenue and profitability targets.
- Plan and execute in-store promotions, visibility drives, and new-product introductions.
- Manage trade spends, promotional budgets, claims, and reconciliations within approved limits.
- Coordinate with supply chain and operations to ensure fill rates, stock availability, and on-time servicing.
- Monitor pricing, competition, and category trends across accounts, and recommend corrective actions.
- Track account-level performance, generate reports, and optimize the channel for growth.
Qualifications
- 10 – 15 years of relevant experience in Modern Trade within the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) / packaged foods sector.
- Proven experience handling organized retail chains such as More, Spencer's, and Reliance.
- Graduate in any discipline; MBA / PGDM in Sales & Marketing preferred.
- Strong understanding of joint business plan negotiation, modern-trade economics, and category management.
Preferred Skills
- Strong negotiation, key-account management, and relationship-building skills.
- Good understanding of modern-trade operations, trade spends, and margin structures.
- Result-oriented with strong commercial and analytical acumen.
- Effective communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
Experience
10 – 15 years of experience in Modern Trade / FMCG, with a focus on organized retail chains.
Environment
This role is based in Gurugram, Haryana, and is a full-time position.
Salary
CTC as per industry standards (negotiable based on experience).
