Job Summary

As a Social Media & Content Creator Associate, you will be responsible for creating and executing engaging content across various social platforms including Instagram and YouTube. This role is essential for shaping how pet parents experience the Smylo brand through creative storytelling and viral content. You'll engage with customers and creators, participate in events, and explore innovative content formats designed to capture attention.

Responsibilities

• Content Creation

  • Create engaging, high-performing content for Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and other social platforms.
  • Develop fresh concepts, hooks, scripts, and storytelling formats.
  • Stay updated with social media trends, memes, viral audios, and internet culture to create relevant content.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to execute campaigns that drive engagement and growth.

• Be the Face of Smylo

  • Confidently appear on camera for reels, educational videos, skits, and trend-based content.
  • Conduct vox-pop interviews and customer interactions to gather on-ground content.
  • Represent the brand authentically across different content formats.

• Social Media Management

  • Plan, schedule, and publish content across social media platforms.
  • Maintain content calendars and ensure posting consistency.
  • Monitor comments, DMs, and community engagement.
  • Coordinate with designers, editors, photographers, and the marketing team for seamless execution.

• Content Production

  • Shoot high-quality content using a smartphone (preferably iPhone) or camera.
  • Edit social-first videos using tools such as CapCut, Canva, VN, or similar software.
  • Manage the complete content creation process from ideation to publishing.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in social media, content creation, or digital marketing.
• Fresh graduates with exceptional content portfolios are also encouraged to apply.
• Comfortable and confident speaking in front of the camera.
• Strong understanding of Instagram, Reels, YouTube Shorts, and current social media trends.
• Passion for storytelling, creator culture, branding, and direct-to-consumer (D2C) businesses.
• Willingness to travel locally for shoots, creator collaborations, events, and customer interviews.
• Working knowledge of CapCut, Canva, ChatGPT, Meta Business Suite, and Google Workspace.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi/Hinglish.
• Highly creative, proactive, organized, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced startup environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience creating content on Instagram or YouTube.
• History of growing a personal or brand social media page.
• A keen eye for storytelling, aesthetics, and viral content.
• Enthusiasm for experimenting with new content formats and creative ideas.
• A passion for pets, especially cats.

Experience

• Minimum of 1–3 years of relevant experience in social media, content creation, or digital marketing. Fresh graduates with strong portfolios are also welcome to apply.

Environment

• This role will be based in Gurugram, with an on-site schedule of 6 days a week (Monday to Saturday).
