Job Summary

The Manager – Finance (Controllership) plays a crucial role within the finance team, focusing on accounting, taxation, financial reporting, taxation, compliance, and business finance. This hands-on position ensures sound financial practices and supports the organization’s objectives through effective financial management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage GST, TDS, and Income Tax compliances, including tax filings, reconciliations, and assessments.
  • Drive month-end, quarter-end, and year-end book closures with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and general ledger reconciliations for financial integrity.
  • Prepare standalone and consolidated financial statements along with supporting audit schedules.
  • Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to guide financial strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, Registrar of Companies (ROC) filings, Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA), and other statutory requirements.
  • Identify process improvements and strengthen financial controls as the business scales.

Qualifications

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is required.
  • 2+ years of post-qualification experience in finance or accounting roles.
  • Strong knowledge of taxation, financial reporting, compliance, and auditing.
  • Proficiency in the preparation and analysis of financial statements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Familiarity with financial software and tools typically used in the industry.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with ERP systems and other financial management software.
  • Knowledge of advanced Excel functions for financial analysis.
  • Prior experience in the logistics or supply chain industry.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in a finance-related role focusing on controllership, taxation, and compliance.
