Job Summary

The Python Developer will focus on application development, troubleshooting, and enhancing the existing Deductions Link Web Scraping and ETL code base. The role involves supporting existing functionalities as well as developing new features to onboard new customers. This position is essential for driving the technical efforts required to maintain and improve the application.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, support, and fix issues in the existing Deductions Link Web Scraping and ETL code base.
• Develop new features and functionalities to enhance the application and onboard new customers.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for effective data management.
• Collaborate within a team to ensure efficient application development and deployment.
• Conduct log analysis to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
• Maintain documentation of code changes and updates, and contribute to unit and functional testing.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related work experience in open-source web services development.
• Technical Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience in Python API and RESTful services development using FastAPI or Django.
  • 5+ years of experience with databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
  • Proficiency in Web Scraping using Selenium and BeautifulSoup.
  • Strong SQL skills with experience in writing and optimizing queries.
  • Experience writing unit and functional tests using PyTest.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrated capacity for team collaboration.

Preferred Skills

• Foundational knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and cloud computing concepts.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Python development and API services.
