Role Objective We're seeking a dynamic individual to take on the responsibility of building and expanding our Packaging category. The role demands the acquisition and management of pertinent brands, vendors, and suppliers. We're in search of a true techno-commercial enthusiast who thrives on tackling new challenges. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in scaling up the supplier base and enhancing vendor operations. They will be tasked with ensuring optimal inventory management and pricing strategies, driving efficiency across the board. Additionally, this role calls for a keen eye for supplier development, including the addition of new suppliers and negotiation with existing ones to secure better margins and credit terms. The selected candidate will also be responsible for analysing and establishing standards for packaging lines, ensuring adherence to schedules, and effectively managing packing orders. Role Responsibilities ● Possessbasictechnical understanding of the packaging industry. ● Proficient in vendor development and management, showcasing negotiation skills, pricing knowledge, and local market awareness. ● ManageRFQsefficiently, ensuring timely quoting to customers and supplier-side contracting for minimal delays. ● Maintain a99%+on-time fulfilment rate, supporting the sales team in achieving monthly targets and growing sales share in key accounts. ● Processcustomer purchase orders within defined timelines, maintaining an organised supplier database. ● Developpurchasing plans and nurture vendor relationships for future growth opportunities. ● Ensureorders are placed with supply partners while upholding quality and pricing standards, rigorously following up for on-time fulfilment. ● Managevendorsacross different packaging product categories, focusing on vendor onboarding and driving standardisation for improved quality, cost, and delivery terms. ● Formulate growth strategies for existing packaging accounts in alignment with business heads and senior stakeholders, addressing alignment gaps with customers and ensuring project delivery on time. ● Collaborate closely with vendors for project development and program management cross-functionally to uphold SLAs, supporting various marketing activities as needed. Key Stakeholders Internal: ● SalesTeams:Collaborate to identify categories for onboarding. ● Operations, Supply Chain, Warehouse Teams: Ensure smooth order fulfilment and maintain positive Supplier NPS. ● Finance, Technology, HR: Manage relationships with external stakeholders including vendors, customers, and team members. External: ● Vendors, Brands, Suppliers: Engage in onboarding, price negotiations, and introduction of new categories. Qualification & Experience ● Minimum2+yearsofpackaging expertise in supply or consulting. ● Experience in initiating businesses from scratch, with a 0-1 approach; startup experience preferred. ● Strongcommunication skills and proficiency in Excel are essential. ● Hardworking, fearless, innovative, with a strong drive for excellence even in ambiguous situations. ● Knowledgeinstrategic procurement and vendor management within the packaging industry. ● Excellent vendor development skills with extensive networks in B2B/industrial supplier markets. ● MBA/B.Techfromareputable college or IIP/SIES is required
