Job Summary

The Head of Technology and Engineering will lead the strategic direction, architecture, and execution of all technology development and engineering initiatives. This role will encompass hardware, firmware, platform development, internal systems, and field technology operations, ultimately driving the scalability, cost-efficiency, and reliability of IoT & AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Technology Management: Oversee budgeting, monitoring, and optimization of technology resources.
• Roadmap Development: Devise the technology roadmap encompassing development, engineering, maintenance, and support aligned with product and platform requirements.
• Ownership of Technology Stack: Manage the entire technology stack including architecture, design, and delivery of IoT platforms and devices, including firmware and cloud backend processes.
• Stay Current with Trends: Monitor technology trends and ensure adoption to keep the technology stack upgraded.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive enhancements across platforms to reduce time-to-market and improve maintainability.
• Technology Leadership: Provide leadership across Electronics and IT development and engineering teams, ensuring effective program execution.
• Team Building: Lead and grow a multi-disciplinary engineering team comprising hardware, embedded systems, cloud, DevOps, software, and quality assurance.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Delivery, PMO, Customer Support, and Sales to ensure timely and cost-effective high-quality project deployments.

Qualifications

• Technical Skills: Strong technical proficiency in technology management and engineering disciplines.
• Stakeholder Management: Ability to manage and communicate with stakeholders effectively.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills to address challenges effectively.
• Educational Qualifications: B.E./B.Tech (preferred); Master's in Technology or a related field.
• Desirable Attributes: Development agility, data-driven decision-making, and comfort with technical discussions.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with predictive maintenance, digital twins, edge computing, and AI-enabled field service intelligence.
• Experience with sprint rituals, design review processes, and deployment pipelines.

Experience

• Years of Experience: 20+ years in technology and engineering roles with a significant focus on IoT and AI solutions.

Environment

The role is based in Chennai, requiring leadership in both in-office and collaborative environments with a multidisciplinary team.
