Job Summary
We are seeking a Chartered Accountant (CA) with 7–10 years of experience to lead the Finance function in a dynamic environment. This role is heavily focused on Business Finance, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), and commercial finance. The ideal candidate will assume end-to-end ownership of finance, which includes controllership, accounting, compliance, treasury, and team leadership.
Responsibilities
- Drive Business Finance, FP&A activities, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
- Partner with founders and business leaders to develop growth strategies, pricing, margins, unit economics, and profitability initiatives.
- Own Management Information Systems (MIS), conduct business performance reviews, create KPI dashboards, and perform financial modeling.
- Lead commercial finance decisions across various functions including sales, marketing, supply chain, operations, and new initiatives.
- Oversee cash flow, working capital, treasury operations, and provide fundraising support.
- Manage controllership, accounting, statutory reporting, audits, taxation, and compliance matters.
- Build scalable finance processes, define internal controls, establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and implement automation strategies.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, establishing a high-performance finance function.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Chartered Accountant (CA) with 7–10 years of post-qualification experience.
- Strong experience in Business Finance and FP&A with a proven track record of business partnering.
- Familiarity with Consumer Tech, Direct-to-Consumer (D2C), E-commerce, Marketplace, Quick Commerce (Q-commerce), Retail, or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) startups.
- Experience in collaborating closely with founders or CXO-level leadership.
- Hands-on exposure to controllership and finance operations, possessing the capability to lead the complete finance function.
- Strong commercial mindset complemented by excellent analytical and stakeholder management skills.
