Job Summary

The Scientist / Sr. Scientist - Eng role is focused on the pre-formulation, prototyping, and product development of various dosage forms. The candidate will leverage their technical expertise and hands-on experience to contribute to innovative projects, ensuring product performance aligns with consumer expectations and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop a thorough understanding of pre-formulations, prototyping, and product development for various dosage forms.
• Interact and coordinate with different functions for various activities related to product development.
• Conduct wet and instrumental analysis of relevant product categories and raw materials.
• Utilize measurement techniques to characterize and predict product behavior over time.
• Follow protocols and test methods to measure functional and aesthetic performance.
• Analyze and evaluate competitor products to inform development strategies.
• Participate in pilot plant and plant-level scale-up activities.
• Document the product development pathway through suitable reports and dossiers to support Technology Transfer.
• Collaborate with academia on relevant projects to enhance the scientific base within the organization.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of product formulations and consumer insights.
• Knowledge of both instrumental and non-instrumental methods for evaluating product categories.
• Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge in innovation projects.
• Analytical skills with proficiency in statistical tools.
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Educational qualifications: BSc, MSc, or equivalent in a relevant scientific field.

Preferred Skills

• An appetite for learning and innovation, with the ability to question the status quo and think outside the box.
• Experience in consumer interaction to understand needs and expectations.

Experience

• Relevant experience in product formulation and development, preferably in a scientific or engineering capacity.

Environment

• Work setting is in-office, located in Mumbai. The role is full-time and may involve collaboration with various teams and external partners.
