Job Description
Operations Lead
Mumbai · 8–12 years · Operations · Supply Chain · Logistics · Founding team
ABOUT BIZZY BIX
Bizzy Bix is reimagining the ₹50,000+ Cr biscuit category in India — building a new-age, better-for-you brand with high energy, strong product innovation, and modern distribution.
Funded and built out of one of India’s leading venture studios.
We build like a sports team — small, sharp, fast. No passengers.
Channels: Quick commerce · Modern trade · General trade · D2C
THE ROLE
You will own and build the entire operations engine at Bizzy Bix — from factory to customer.
This is a founding team role. You’re not stepping into a function — you’re creating one. We have co-packers in place and the early building blocks of a network. Your job is to connect it, professionalise it, and scale it into a high-speed, low-leakage, highly predictable ops engine.
Build + scale role. You will design systems, not just run them.
WHAT YOU’LL OWN
SUPPLY CHAIN & MANUFACTURING
Own production planning across co-packers and third-party manufacturers. Drive capacity planning, quality control, and cost discipline. Manage vendor relationships end-to-end.
Co-packer relationships are already in place. Formalise and scale them.
WAREHOUSING & LOGISTICS
Set up and manage the national warehousing strategy. Optimise primary and secondary logistics. Manage 3PL partners and SLAs. Drive cost per kg and cost per order down over time.
INVENTORY & DEMAND PLANNING
Build rolling demand plans and S&OP rhythm in close partnership with sales. Maintain optimal inventory turns across all channels. No stockouts. No dead inventory.
E-COMMERCE & FULFILMENT
Own D2C fulfilment and the customer experience it delivers. Manage marketplace operations across Amazon, Flipkart, and others. Optimise fill rates, delivery timelines, and returns.
SYSTEMS & DATA
Build a tech-enabled ops stack — ERP, inventory tools, dashboards. Create real-time visibility across inventory, production, and dispatches. Build SOPs that people actually follow.
COST & UNIT ECONOMICS
Own the unit economics of operations. Continuously improve freight, warehousing, and production costs. Lead vendor negotiations. Make ops a source of margin, not just a cost centre.
TEAM
Hire and build a lean, high-output ops team. Create a culture of ownership, speed, and problem-solving from the start.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Month 3
Co-packer and vendor relationships formalised. Logistics and warehousing live. First orders dispatched cleanly.
Month 6
S&OP rhythm established. Fulfilment running reliably across D2C and marketplaces. ERP and dashboards operational.
Month 12
Fill rates consistently strong. Inventory well-managed. Cost structure documented and actively being improved. Ops team taking shape.
Month 18
Ops backbone ready for 5–10x volume. Vendor relationships strong and commercially tight. Margins improving quarter on quarter.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Experience 8–12 years in FMCG, food, or consumer supply chain
Background Hands-on background in co-packer management, logistics, warehousing, and demand planning
Mindset Engineering or technical mindset preferred — you solve for root cause, not symptoms
Data Strong with data and analytics — forecasting, cost modelling, and inventory metrics are second nature
Tech Tech-first — comfortable with ERP systems, dashboards, and automation
Builder Proven ability to build from scratch — you’ve set up systems where they didn’t exist
Cross-functional Works fluidly across sales, finance, and external partners. No friction.
You’ll thrive here if you…
Think in systems, not firefighting
Are obsessively organised — nothing falls through the cracks
Hate inefficiency and fix it fast
Move from strategy to execution without losing speed
Thrive in high-speed, zero-bureaucracy environments
Are genuinely excited to disrupt a legacy category
This role is not right for you if…
You’re looking for a maintenance role, a coordination job, or a function with structure handed to you. This is a build-from-scratch, own-it-end-to-end role on the founding team. The upside — and the accountability — are both significant.
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
Operations will be a core moat for Bizzy Bix.
Get this right and it compounds across every part of the business:
Better margins
Every rupee saved in ops flows directly to the P&L.
Faster scale
Reliable ops is what lets the business move at full speed.
Stronger retail
Retailers list and reorder brands they can count on.
Better experience
The last mile is part of the brand. Ops owns it.
Small team. Big category.
Come build the engine.
